i live in hoston and early this summer i drove to El Paso 700 miles away all highway. during the trip i also had the same experiance. i was getting around 380 a tank, which is really spooky. i have a 2000 ls1 highly modified. i dyno at 422rwph in the city i usally get 220 a tank.

I've been recently getting 19-20mpg. I definately need to replace those spark plugs, air filter i acidentally spray painted, o2's, and anything else i find wrong.

What i see is that LT1 consume more fuel than LS1
I get an average 220 mile 4/5 tank

I have alittle over 1/2 a tank and I've gone about 145 miles....so I figure...about another 100 or so...so about 260....divided by 16....uhhh isss almost 17...awesome!

I filled up yesterday when the needel was at the halfway mark, and it clicked off at 9.010 gallons and I had 201 miles on the tripmeter so that's about 22.3 miles to the gallon, which was a lot of highway driving, but I went WOT a decent amount of times merging and when I was in town. With a combo of lot more city and less highway I see 18-19, if I see every light as a christmas tree then it drops to 14 or so. I drive a pretty much equal mix of highway and city and get an average of 18 mpgs. Pretty good I thought considering I am burning raw fuel like a ****.
