Here's a picture of me and my old mans sbc conversions. Both kept EFI though...

My old mans 408 SBC...
He has cut the metal where the wipers are since these pics.

My car ran a 12.4 at 114 with a 2.0 60' on motor w/ a stock reground lt1 cam. I'm about to swap cams and spray it a 150 shot. With traction hoping for high 10 w/n20 and high 11 motor.

My old mans is a whole new story. Fully built 408 with a 200 shot, 4 link suspension, cage, 4l80e auto. Lookin at high 9's.
Good luck with your install. I think you'll be way more satisfied then with the LT1.
