Default LS2 Intake cutaway:

Why the LS2 intake is junk:

Even though the flow #'s are good, the sonic/vibration weld is poor at best and the upper & lower parts are joined by pressing against each other and the leakage between runners is horrendous!

Porting them makes it even worse as the thinner the walls get, the less strength they have to even try to seal. In many spots you can see light shined into the runner next to it they are so bad.

This is why the LS6 still outperforms the LS2 even with the smaller runners & a 75mm snout VS a 90mm.

Go with the FAST 92 if you want an intake that works. This car made 40 rwhp more & 42 rwtq swapping to the FAST 92 over this ported LS2.

Those were really a mess compared to LS1-6 and the LS3-7.

Here is what a FAST and a cam did for my 416, over ported LS2 intake.

The lower one is 383 with standard LS2 intake, and 224 cam, Standard Dart heads

Middle is 416 ported LS2 and 233/237 cam, Worked Dart heads.

Top curve 416 244/257 cam, TR ported Fast intake, Same Dart worked heads.

We did get a 513/510 curve, but this one goes further and a better comparison can be made.

Excellent comparison...just another example of the power the FAST gives a built engine. Nice numbers by the way

I agree, this is why one is on my car, id post this in the 3rd Gen Bolt on section and see people flip out about price vs performance... The FAST piece just works.
