Default LS1 Miata First time to track

I hate that butterfly in your gut feeling you get the first time down the track in a while. I didn't get a chance to really play around with tire pressure or heating the tires up before the guy i was borrowing a helmet from had to leave. Really gotta work on the 60'.

Before the track i stopped by a friends house for him to shoot some photos.

Overall i am happy for my first time down the track in the car. There is still a lot to work out and play around with. Next sunday hopefully I will have some even better times to show.

You should turn this into a road course car!!!! Forget the Drags, your power to weight ratio, with a good suspension setup and tires, would make this an absolute MONSTER!!!!!!

Just the later 94 on up brakes all around. They do a pretty good job of stopping, but tend to get hot really fast. Brake fade in this car is the worst.

I'm using a stock diff and axles out of a Turbo II RX7. Eventually i'm going to go with an 8.8 IRS though. Waay more gearing options, and a little stronger which never hurts.

I'm not usually a fan of the Miata, but that is one nasty machine you got there.

I agree with above posters...make it into a road course car.

He built it to be a straight line car. Why is everyone trying to change his mind? That thing has some big mph for an all motor car. Good luck with it in the future bro.

Thanks man. Hoping to make it back out to the track this sunday and get a new best. A friend is going out in his LS1 RX7, so it should be a close race, and some good competition.
