I figured I would want to buy a rearend once, I held out for a long time, and that 10 bolt never did let me down. I never pushed my luck too much with it though.
I just got done with the trans recently too. It is a Th400 with a J.W. Ultra bell. You cut the old bellhousing off, this bolts in through the pump bolts. The 4 upper rear cover bolts had to be machined down. I did the bell housing at the same time as a complete rebuild and trans brake upgrade. New PTC turbo converter too.
Needless to say between the converter, rearend and suspension. I just dropped $6000 into this car.
I still need AFCO shocks all the way around , front tubular lower control arms, tires, ATI balancer, fire suit and parachute to be completely race ready and legal this season.
