I think there are more freak dynos than freak cars. It's not like the 60's when cam duration could be off by as much as 10 degrees or compression ratio could vary by half a point or more. Get both on the same car and you had a "freak". Machining on the new stuff is so precise, these cars don't vary a whole hell of a lot from one to the next. Talkings THOUSANDTHS here. Not nearly enough to account for giant leaps in horsepower.
