There is no need to lock the convertor at the dragstrip as it seems to be efficient enough to minimize the slipage by itself. I noticed that the trans is shifting very close to the actual settings I put in the PCM. Prior to the yank I had to "fudge" the settings in order to allow for slipage and get the shift points where I needed them. I though I would "slow the car down" by shifting at 6400 down from 6700 so I could run closer to the 9.50 mark but 3rd gear is pulling so hard that it didn't make much of a difference!

I use the electronic locking mech. for highway driving to hold the heat down to a minimum above 55 mph.
