I got HPT Pro because I eventually want to start tuning cars for friends and other local guys. The EIO is nice because you stick the two wideband wires in it and tighten two small screws and you're ready to datalog...No messing with the EGR wire to log the wideband like you need to do with the standard version.
Also, the on board datalogging is great. Before I got it I figured it wouldn't be a big deal to not have it. It's much easier on the laptop battery. Put the car in SD or MAF only to tune VE/MAF, shut off the laptop and go datalog with the HPtuners MPVI...Then hook the lap top back up, make the changes to the VE or whatever and go do it again. My lap top has a shitty battery and it wouldn't last if I was trying to do a few hours of data logging and tuning with it on the whole time. |
