At 8 psi of boost on the stock bottom end, most of these engines last for a very long time. We installed a D-1SC on my Camaro back in 2002 when the engine had 110,000 miles on it, and it lasted for a very long time. Several years later we got bored with it and cranked the boost up to 15 psi to see how long it would hold up. It lasted longer than we thought it would, and made several trips to different drag strips. Here is a link to my Camaro from back in the day.
