I hope your making serious hp. The 400 is bigger and heavier than your 4L60. If done properly your 4L will handle more than the HP any LTx motor has made. And you still get the 4th gear. Look into a good trans builder and talk to them and see what they say. They also just came out with a new planetary that changes the gear ratio's so there isn't the huge RPM jumps anymore (it's actually the same gearing as a ford trans, but it's better for the straight line. Just an FYI. I personally will be keeping my 700R4 (same as the 4L60).
