Default Aeroforce Scan Gauge (Video Demo)

Well, I thought i'd take a video to show some of you what you're missing out on. For those of you that don't know, this is the Aeroforce Scan gauge. It plugs into the OBDII port and can pretty much read everything from the computer.

I'm talking like a jackass in this.. I know..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8Eh2gosfhs

Definitely the best gauge i've ever come across so far. The performance mode measures 0-60, 1/4 mile, so much other stuff too. Can't wait to try that out

I've always wanted one of those, but have always had a hard time getting over the price. (I'm not sure how I can justify my 2 widebands though...)

Let us know how accurate the 0-60 & Quarter mile times are.

Also, do you know if you can read speed in KM/H?

Nice little walk thru. I cant believe more people dont have these installed. Everyone complains about the stock gauges bein like dummy gauges & this lets you actually see what the PCM is reading.

I'm not sure.. next time I'm fooling with the gauge i'll see if there's a setting. Go to the manufacturer website and see if there's an edition for KMH.

I know! I didn't even know I didn't have a 160* thermostat until I saw my coolant temp was like 194 Does that trans temp reading look accurate? What should the tranny be around? There's 3 different trans temp options and one didn't work.. so i'm just trying to see if the one I have chosen now works correctly.

I dont know. Mine is a 6-speed so there isnt any tranny temp sensors that I know of. I know my Aeroforce is a older unit but if I set it to tranny temp is just pops up some negative number & never changes, so I know its not reading it.

I believe for some of the parameters you have to add extra wiring to the stock sensors. But again I'm not 100% up to speed on the newer versions.

Alright, thanks a lot!

And just because your temps got u to 194 isn't indicative of what thermostat you have. A 160* T-stat just means it will open at 160*.

But 194 does sound hot for just sitting in the driveway...

Finally a great video of all the cool stuff it does! Thanks for the video!

Once you get to drive it around. See how well the MPG setting works.

Mine stays at 202* once fully warmed up & can creep to 206* while driving. But never goes over 212* even in the hottest part of summer.

BTW, it just plugged into the port? Ive read some guys had to splice into a power wire of some sort. I believe because it didnt plug into the port OR because it wouldnt power off when the car was turned off.

It's plugged into the OBD port, and ONLY the OBD port. It did come with an extra 3 wire harness, that way you could add it to your own switched/ignition power source. But it turns on when I turn the car to "On," and it turns off once I open the door (like the radio does).

I'll look into getting myself one for x-mas. Looking into getting LTs, exhaust, ls6 intake(this one might be later) and frost tune sometime soon to get it out of the stock world

Nice video, would love to have one but would have to find the funds first. Looks like $250 for the single, $400 for the dual.

Yeah that's the coolest part. It comes with a black ring, an aluminum ring, a black face, and a white face. And you can swap any of them out in a few seconds.
