One more thing to consider when going from a -6 (3/8) to a -8 (1/2) line is that pressure will slightly increase in the -8 line per Bernoulli’s equation. Check out this link:

Well, that was interesting and that pipe demo was cool...but one thing Im not getting is how exactly pressure INCREASES as a smaller pipe/hose goes into a LARGER pipe/hose...I would think the pressure would actually drop due to the increased diameter of the pipe/hose.

PSI is what you need to think about if you are at 60 psi in a 1/2" line and then you are at 60 psi in a 1" line you think they are the same? Per Square Inch Which one has more surface area? The larger line of course. 60 presure is the same, but if you actually measure it is more as a whole if you can understand it. 1PSI x 100 Square inches is 100 lbs and 1PSI x 200 square inches is 200 lbs maybe that helps you out. went from stock lines at 58psi to a 8AN line with billet rails at 58psi I had to drop the presure to @50psi to get it to lean out enough to drive it. Hope this helpes explain it for thost who were not understanding the way it works.

Dang, old thread. I have the stock feed, stock style filter etc. and 800RWHP. However, my injector duty cycle is higher than it should be even though enough fuel is getting through. Going to an -8AN feed soon.

Seeing as how most of you guys are a boosted application, what about N20 set ups? I'm upgrading to a 200 shot and don't want to go to a stand alone. I'd rather upgrade the entire system, but wouldn't mind saving a little dough in the process. I'm against the stand alone b/c I don't want to move the battery. I don't see why going the factory feed and evap as a return with new rails couldn't support 650ish on a nitrous hit.

So twin in tanks and stock feed/evap lines with 60lb. injectors should handle a max of 600 rwhp fine? Doing a ebay turbo kit and this is the fuel system i would like to run until the beginning of summer.

Twins with the stock lines will support about 750rwhp. Leave your EVAP intact it is a very good venting system. If you exceed 750rwhp you will want bigger lines and a front mounted reg. setup. Give me a call I can help setup the proper fuel system for your needs.
Oh and questioned above the factory fittings out the top of the stock sender have been flow tested to over 1200rwhp it is the added line size of the -8 that helps get the volume to the rails.
