4th Gen Camaro Production Breakdowns
Not much interest? Here's what I've done so far for the '93-'97s. Includes 1LEs, B4Cs, SS and even some LS1s. Betcha didn't know that in '96 and '97 several Z28s had LS1s installed. I'm assuming these were all development mules and were never sold to the public, but nonetheless their RPO listings showed up. There were also a bunch of '96 'verts w/ the 5.0L LB9 engine installed.
One thing that didn't show up though were the '97 SS 30ths. Not sure why. Was there something special about these?
UPDATE 3/26/10: Minor corrections to color names.
UPDATE 6/24/10: Corrected omission in '95 Z28 'vert color breakdown.
UPDATE 7/23/10: Corrected '96-'97 SS counts using correct RPO (R7T), which also revealed where the '97 SS 30ths were hiding.

If anyone sees errors or omissions, please let me know.

We camaro folk have the Camaro White Book. It has production numbers, colors, option breakdown and prices of options and so forth.
Here is what it says about the 30th Z4C SS cars
"The commonly published quantity of SS with 30th Anniversary has previously been 979, but the actual number is now believed to be 957. Of these, 100 were built with the LT4"

I found another source that mentions the 100 LT4 30th SS cars. Were there any other LT4 cars that were NOT SS 30ths? Just curious why none of the 30th SS cars show up in CompNine's database. Did they NOT have both RPOs WU8 and Z4C? Not that I haven't found holes in this database when doing the Firebirds. However, usually their database contained MORE cars that I've seen covered by other sources' breakdowns, usually due to the other sources not including exported cars. Therefore I ended up w/ a more comprehensive breakdown for those years.

I looked at bith your breakdown and the white book. You spreadsheet is showing more cars and a better breakdown. I didn't see in the white book the breakdown for exported cars though.
To my knowledge only the Z4C SS's got the LT4 unless GM did a prototype that was just a regular SS. Maybe Xsta would know something on it

I'll pick up the CWB next time I'm in Borders or Barnes & Noble and check it out.
Bump, finished them. Let me know if anyone finds errors or omissions.
MODS: Feel free to sticky these. I'm not positive as I've yet to examine the CWB, but I belive there may be more detail in my breakdowns.

UPDATE COMPLETED, new '93-'97 breakdown uploaded in post above. This exercise also revealed where the '97 30th SSs were hiding.

a bit of an error, you show an X for all automatic z28's in 1998, and for the rear end gearing. unless you mean to say every z28 was a manual transmission with 3:42 gears
yes that would mean from the factory none came with the A4 and a 3.42 axle ratio.
if this is accurate, my car is one of 135 m6 cayenne red coupes made that year. not too bad

I've had my car for 10 years and never thought about seeing how many were produced... with same exact options... looks like there were only about 7XX black on tan M6 Z28s t-tops... but I have all options but disc changer p/antenna
Can someone tell me how rare a 2002 SOM A4 SS Convertible is with tan top and tan leather? I know the SOM/Auto/SS/Vert combo is one of 46 but curious to know with the top/interior options.
Thanks I really appreciate it
