I'm sure that tune increases the boost quite a bit. All wheel drive in the SHO too. I would expect it to be a much easier car to race on the street with street tires for sure. Thanks for the post.

There was a livernois tuned 2010 taurus sho running 13.11 at milan dragway back in April.

As the G8 passes into the video its exhaust trumpets over the 5.0 and sho with the meanest growl of them all.

most V8 cars that are cammed + boltons (including mufflers) will be louder and sound "meaner" than a bone stock car with stock mufflers in case you didnt know......

that makes the first video I've seen of a G8 GXP rolling out: and a 6spd to boot! Wonder how bad it would have stomped that 5.0? lol I'm betting a bone stock GXP will run door to door with a stock 5.0- if not beat it.

I test drove a SHO couple months ago. They are deceptively quick. Just couldn't pull the trigger when it was $41,500.

how do you suppose? the new 5.0 runs door to door (if not FASTER!) with the 6.2 LS3 Camaro SS and the Camaro weighs about 150-200lbs less!!! nice try....but wishful thinking on your part!

Because I've test driven both, AND raced against both in my GTO: The 100lb heavier GXP was the victor in seat-of-pants and did better in a 55-110mph race.

Also, I did notice a few mags had the GXP as the faster car in 1/4 mile testing.
