I have been waiting for my local dealer to get a test model that i could drive, maybe i'll be pleasantly surprised.

The bigger issue is that cars in general ARE way too damn heavy. It's funny that congress holds car manufacturers feet to the coals over gas mileage and then saddle them up with hundreds of pounds of mandatory crap.
Please explain what you know about handling. How many laps have you run on any respectable course? Once you have proven your intelligence on the matter then maybe someone might listen.

I was all about the car until I sat in it..then went and bought a 2002 c5z06. I'm driving it daily and it's been perfect. We're going to put it away for the winter and I'll be driving the Cherokee and my wife's thinking a 05-06 cts-v will be her daily. God I love her.

At any rate, We're bringing the SAM/Hot Rod magazine car back to Cleveland for a Ron Shearer Turbo system. I'll get with Jud and see how much he wants to de-content the car. It would be nice to get it to 3300 or less and keep it "appearing" pretty close to stock on the inside minus the heavy seats.

Well, i have raced stock cars locally, hit every drag strip in my area and attended many nasa road races. I had always been a pure horsepower and quarter mile time guy until i got involved in road racing. Horsepower is actually the least important thing there. Most important are brakes, tires, and handling. Power comes last. Sounds crazy until you see a miata pass a nissan gtr. Yes i saw that happen with my own eyes!
