Yea, but the camaro is, and has always been the poor mans sports car. Its a hellova car, for a non vette price. A 30k dollar camaro that is slightly slower than a 50k dollar vette... Sounds like a good deal to me.

its never been the poor mans sports car, that goes to the mustang which has always been cheaper.

How soon they forget (or in you're case didn't even know). I have an original full page advertisement for the 67 Camaro SS that states, "Poor man's Vette?" at the top of the page. I have a 67 RS/SS big block car and have collected quite a few sales items in the last 25-30 years.
If they do indeed make a new Camaro I will purchase one. I will also keep the 3 that I currently own.

I think I'll keep my old 396, the nose on this new concept is ugly!
Pardon me, beautiful vert, but why does it have SS 396 on the grill and RS badging on the fender. Also, why does this car (looks to be a 67) have a 68 RS grill? And why sombrereo caps vs flat caps? A little bit of mix and match? Sorry, but I'm a big time 1st gen fan and seeing stuff done wrong (badging and grill, clones are ok if they are done right) just kinda irks me.

I will not buy the '09 Camaro. I'm sure the production car will look better, without the SUV wheels and chopped top, but I'm a Pontiac guy. I have a feeling the next gen GTO will be more desirable to me.
in my view, the 93-97 is the 4.0 gen and the 98-02 is the 4.5 gen when an LTx camaro had sex with a sebring, and an LTx trans am had sex with the batmobile.
I like it, I would consider buying one as long as they change the interior and keep it IRS, if they put a solid rear in it I would never ever consider buying one.

RS was a trim package, any car could have it. It's a RS/SS 396

doesnt look chrome to me.
And why sombrereo caps vs flat caps?
a wheel option. there were at least 4 (wire hubcaps included believe it or not)
that's an original sales ad.. you're nitpicking it as if it was modded? wtf?
i'll probably pick up a new camaro once they're available and i've graduated college in 2 yrs.. I know the interior wont look like that, and it'll have plenty of power, and the exterior is HOT. I dont see it as being very retro..
yeah i wish i could just live in scion land where people knew what we were all about. tired of leaving scion land and everyone haten like people that drive camaros for instance...
