My on-going 8-year project
is my 1970 Nova. Started with a 307/glide that ran a screeching 17.07 at 80 mph, 1st motor swap was a 355 that got down to an 11.88 @ 111 mph. Current combo is:
383 stroker (actual displacement 388)
Eagle crank and SIR rods
Milodon oil pan and pump
Canfield 195cc heads (unmodified)
Crane solid cam
Edelbrock Victor Jr intake (unmodified)
750 Holley dp hp carb (unmodified)
Hedman headers 1-3/4 headers
Flowmaster american musclecar 3" exhaust system with tailpipes.
Turbo 350 trans with J.W. 3400 stall 10" convertor
12 bolt with Strange 33 spline spool, axles and c-clip eliminators; Richmond 3.73 gears
11:1 compression-pump gas motor. Dyno'd 372 rwhp/492 rwtq.
Driven about 200-300 miles a month, raced 2-3 times a month.
Times and link to pictures are in sig. Car weight with driver ~ 3500 lbs.
