Looking pretty badass man. I'm doing the LS1/T56 swap in an 87' Iroc I just bought. Paid 625 for rolling chassis w/ everything but Engine/trans (as I didn't need them). It also came with subframes. I'm budgeting this to $10,000 and 2 years. Body is in great condition, but will probably repaint due to some flaws in paint. Interior is pretty nice as well. Now, I'm doing almost exactly the same swap...87' Iroc, 305 to LS1, Auto to T56 manual. Any things you can give me a heads up on? I've heard I can pickup a 9" rear for like $1200, LS1 w/ T56 for like $3000, LS1 conversion parts (engine/tranny relocation mounts, Tubular K-member, etc) for about $1000, and such. Those sound about right? Now I don't need perfectly new stuff, I can certainly use used parts =) Any help you can give me is much appreciated. I have all the time in the world for this project...just money is going to come slow (bout $400/month towards this car). And best of luck with yours, looks like it's going to be a mean mofo. |
