Default Tick Performance's 1999 Trans Am - 9.73@135 N/A!

We built our Black 1999 Trans Am with three specific necessities in mind:
  1. Pump Gas.
  2. Drag Radials.
  3. No Power Adders.
The result?
  1. 9.73@135 with the footbrake.
  2. 3350lb Raceweight.
  3. 1.26 60' with 22psi in 325/50/15 the M/T Drag Radials

Providing all the wheelstanding action is a 434ci, C5R headed, solid roller LS1 sporting a pump gas friendly 11.75:1 compression ratio. The SB2 intake and big Accel throttle body provided the need for the big cowl hood - no power adders here!

The rest of the drivetrain setup is extremely simple: TH350 with TCI 4800 stall converter, and a Mark Williams 3" chromemoly driveshaft mated to the Moser 12 bolt, using a street-friendly 4.10 gear and an Eaton Posi!

We traveled to Englishtown, NJ on Halloween of last year to a GM High-Tech Performance Event featuring naturally aspirated LS1 and LT1 powered cars. We had a GREAT time and were lucky enough to take home the Quickest All-Motor Car crown. They even snapped a sweet wheelie picture that they used as the article feature in the August 2007 issue:

The car doesn't use any crazy suspension tricks or parts, and we've had the best luck with 20-22 cold psi in the drag radials! The car hooks hard and 60's incredibly well for its weight.

There is a new setup in the works for this infamous Black T/A - possibly a turbo or two for 2008? Only time will tell.
