Honestly every engine/tranny/rear end is built the same but they have different capabilities, most of the performance and reliablity factor is going to come down to how the specific part is tuned, (escept axle of course) before everyone and their brother with a semi stock engine tries to run even a 150 shot, they should atleast try to beef up the components before they spray. While it is possible to take a bone stock z28 down the track spraying a 125shot with no problems, theres no reason not to first install a shift kit, get a programmer or a good tune, intake/exhaust, and of course watch your timing as that can make it or litterally break it...honestly I would do most bolt ons and minor stuff to any engine before spraying. People think because it is the best bang for the buck you can buy, that every vehicle can handle it and that the absolutely need it. You should be serious about using nitrous and gradually step it up to see what your comonents can handle, same thing Robert is doing.. gradually, hopefully you can hear your engine start ticking and let off while your using a smaller shot instead of just hearing a boom.
