Default Camaro Spoiler Question

Im just wondering if the RK Sport 5" spoiler is the same as the Sunoco style spoiler. Im looking at purchasing a high-rise hatch and removing the wing and adding a spoiler like the Heritage Trans Am on my Formula. The Sunoco spoiler looks almost the same as the Heritage spoiler in pics so i thinking of buying one and modify it if it needs to be to fit.

Similar yes, but not the same.

I molded on a freedom spoiler (3"), and I lost half the visibility out of my back window, just something to think about

they are at different angles, and look at the sides where it meets the body. there is nothing out thats similar...youll have to do custom work to get an exact replica, but you might have a good start with that spoiler.

Here is our RKSport 5" spoiler on ours. It looks more like the Sunoco one than the Heritage one.

the edge of the rear on the camaro is a lot higher though... but it probably will still block some.

i have looked before and never seen any good pics of a car with bird with that but i think it could look good, IF you mold it. the bump on the white bird is hideous and it looks like it was effortlessly slapped on.

i love the mean look of the freedom spoiler!! i was thinking bout getting one, but if visiblity sucks with a freedom spoiler, then i might opt for a different spoiler.

I figure with an rk sport 5" i can atleast work with it as it looks very similar. The side caps need to be worked to mold out into the fender as in the pic of the above you'll see what i mean. No one makes this kit and i have yet to see another bird with that kind of spoiler. Would be nice to a totally different look then the thousands of birds on the road. I have a formula with the molded hatch so i already picked up a high-rise t/a hatch to start with. Ill have to keep my eyes peeled for a spoiler if i can find one used the better if not ill buy new if nothing comes by the time i start to do this.

I love the 2nd gen t/a looks and never got a chance to get one so here's my opporunity to add a little 2nd gen to my 4th and be little a different then everyone else

I'm curious to see what this wing would look like without the end pieces. It would have that sharp edged look of the classic Camaro spoiler.

I have the RS one off of the 1996 RS Body Kits. I think it looks really well. I can barely see it out the back Window in the Mirror, so it doesn't take up any visibility.
You can see it in my Sig..here is a good pic of it too..

I can see why you guys think it looks out of place but on a camaro but the wing itself sits on the spoiler so its actually like a 6" wing or whatever. If i were to use the 5" spoiler it would sit flush on the t/a hatch without the wing.

Don't order the RK Sport spoiler. While I believe it is (at least it looks) identical to the Sunoco it is nowhere near the same as the Heritage.

Buy a spoiler off of a 1977-78 Trans-Am and graft that on. That will be closer to the desired result...

I think this is supposed to be an exact replica kit for the Dick Harrell/Heritage Camaro. Never heard of this company though, but they are the only one I've seen so far that offer the wide body fenders too.

Default Trans am heritage ducktail

heres a crazy idea i would try it but im a ghetto kid and i dont own a trans am. however i would love to have one or an older one but for the ducktail added to the fourth gen trans am why not try using on that comes off a mustang? it looks dead on with the curves and style but with a little more scrap to it. all it needs a some modification and im sure it would work if it fits the round deck lid of the trans am
heres a pic of what ducktail im talkin about

I have the freedom design, visibility isn't a problem at all IMO.
