Anyone with experience with TCI's Trans Controller?
any vendors here sell rebuild kits for the 80e?
already have the Transgo Hd2, any other recommended trans upgrades while I'm in there?
dude if i was you i would swap it for a fully rebuilt unit from Century or Performabuilt. Eliminate any and all problems here and now, plus a few, or a lot of upgrades.

that car is a work of art man, def magazine material.

wot shifts are currently set for 3200 rpms , build thread on thedieselpageforums.com, or DieselPlace.com, thank you for the comments
I started with a bare bones V6 3.4L car and just wanted to see if I could really get 30+mpg AVG and still hold steady with stock LT1 F-bodys on the street. I have already owned a 99 Z (hate myself for selling to this day) and before that a 96 LT1, both black cars. I truly wanted to push my fab skills further and it was more difficult to swap a Diesel, than LS1, so there I began.

Before I started, everyone told me I was crazy and looking at me, 22, like I straight up didn't have the skills. That a turbocharger rear mounted with a Diesel engine would never work properly. After all, nobody has ever attempted something like this.
Most importantly and bluntly how could a Diesel Camaro ever be sexy?

I wanted to show people, that just because the market doesn't "want" a Diesel Camaro, doesn't mean it can't be somewhat cool.

Future plans...I hope to reliably get this car into the 12s while maintaining 30+ mpg AVG and incorporate some type of hybrid element to it. Diesel/Electric most likely. It may take a few years but I'll do it.

We obviously can't rely on Detroit or specifically GM for ALL new ideas, can we?

I have heard good things about both companies. I am a diy guy but Trans, specifically hard part upgrades is where I am left blank

That looks like fun to work on. Especially if the turbo goes out.

I love the diesel idea. I hope to stick a fully built 5.9 in my impala one day.

very badass, nicel done. i'm a little pissed you beat me to it though When my SS is finished, my next project IS 100% certainly going to be a 98+ WS6/Duramax combo. I wanted to do this forever but have gotten sidetracked so many times...i even had the engine for a while

Default updates

been awhile since I've posted here...thought I'd give ya an update

so far the Camaro only sounds quick...but its' slow
mods are posted here but i will relist:
-94 GM Truck: stock long block with 100K miles beforethe swap (new engine build now in progress) 6.5L 395 c.i.
-output 195hp 375ish torque.
-Rear mounted Holset Hx35w turbo, 15 psi max
-OEM injectors, no head studs
-3200 rpm shift points
-4L80e with Tgo shiftkit
heavy pig
she creeped by at a blazing 14.60 @95.7 w/2.34 60' street 275s

this winter will hopefully be productive with the car and cut that down aLOT.

updates:
fuel (gas) door has been converted into an air intake (flame on)
hot pipe size to rear turbo has been reduced from dual 2.5" TO 3", to a dual 2.5" TO single 2.5 for better spool and turbo heat. This rear mount concept has its quirks for sure.
uploading a couple pics now..
new hot side

you'll recognize that the fuel tank usually sits here...

fuel door...inner fender (panel fabbed to prevent water intake, sealed) but believe me I am still worried about it.

gonna gets some bad pms from this one..
