Hang in there, its worth it in the end. I have about a year into this one as well but it's almost done. The fuse blocks were a pain in the a** to get mounted upside down under the fender. We ground the welds down as far as we could then just hit everything with a light coat of body filler and had very little to finish sand. With all that work though it would really pay to have someone come in and shoot it with a gun and not a rattle can, we cleared and colorsanded the whole thing afterwords. Here's a few pics, it's a lot closer now I'll try to get some new ones.

99Z51R, That looks freaking awesome, just more motivation to get out there and work on mine....
Whats was the point to cut out the center section where the radiator sits...was it to fit the bigger radiator or so you could mount the intercooler..
Well, i have no idea what im doing wrong, but i keep getting little spots where the paint peels up... Its really pissing me off, i think i broke my knuckle on my door bar.
So im gonna pull off all the paint, and try again from scratch. But i dont think its gonan be today.
Lets see if someone can tell me what im doing wrong.
I tried to paint it last week.. and i was having problems back them
Im not really sure how to explain it, i was having little spots in random spots its cracking.
I decided it wasnt clean enough... So last night when i put a coat on, these are the steps i used..
sanded with 600, then decided to go with 220, for more bite.
Then i washed it with soapy water. wiped dry.
then i laid on a few heavy layers of paint. and then let it dry overnight.
I woke up this morning, and checked the paint. It looked great, aside from a few drips, and some speckled overspray. I wanted to clean it up and put on another layer. So i sanded down just like before, then washed like before.. same steps...
Then when i sprayed, it immediately was peeling or cracking.
At this point, i just want to get my interior in, i will not be re-doing this again. i dont care if i doesnt last a year, or if i dont get to clear coat it, i just want a relatively smooth paint job.
