LED Turn Signals (Very Easy)
EDIT!! Since photobucket wants to rip us off to post photos, I've added the link to my library so you can go direct to the source!
hey guys... ive had this done for a while now, but i just havent shared with yall yet. I made these lights and it was super easy, and i know there are some people wanting to have this type of thing for their car. the only down side that i know might exist is that with the night shade, it is hard to see the turns during the day. but other than that, they are cool and very different.
I used the ebay all black reflector housing with the clear front lens, and only had to do a little trimming with the dremel.

the little holes can be filled with epoxy or silicone to keep the housing water tight

I had got the led light strips from superbright led's and they were like $6 each, and it saves all the work of soldering all the led's individually. I had to cut the separator out of the housing, and by doing that, made exactly the right amount of room in the housing for the depth of the light strips.
Then i got the light strips and started epoxying them so the front of the led's are flush with the front of the housing. just stacked them on top of each other and it lined up pretty good

now with the kinda hard part... is soldering the connector to the wires. its not rocket science, and if you can melt solder then you can do this.
I had to get the light bulbs that originally go into the light sockets, and break the glass off of the bulb. then pull the element off of the prongs and fold them over in opposite pairs (2 outside contacts and 2 inside contacts). after you do that, you can figure out how you want the lights to light up. I forgot now what contacts do the parking lights and turn signals, but you will wire up the + (red) to one side and the - (black) to the other side of the exposed contacts. make sure you put both + and - on the same sides or the lights wont work since LED's are polar specific. (look at pics)
then put silicone around the exposed wires/connections to keep them from shorting out

when all is said and done, siliconce the lens back onto the light housing (get rid of finger prints on the inside). after it dries you can put it on the car and enjoy. make sure you solder the wires exactly the same on both sides, or your lights will be *** backwards. before i soldered mine, i went out th the car and hooked up all the lights and labelled them in the order they were in the housing. that way i knew which was which and could solder them correctly.
once you go to put them on the car, they might not work when plugged in one way. just unplug it and flip it 180*, and it should work great. you can leave them clear or nightshade them depending on preferance. this is the finished product:

that was my first attempt in doing the diode, but it was the wrong one. it reflected the power from the turns through the whole light system in the car, so when the turns were on, all the light in the car would flash. if i found the right diode, i can get it like that again
