Wow, the extra padding to make the wheel thicker looks really out of place on the Camaro wheel...

We need pics, should look better on the T/A wheel though.

Post up some pics of the extra padding if you could.

The padding I was using was far too thick. It was hard to work with and actually was awkward to wrap your hand around. Also, it was too much of a size difference compared to the rest of the wheel.

I'll be getting some new padding soon and giving it a shot. I'll just stick to doing stock replacement ish as of now until I get that mastered....

I should have some pics of mine posted up later today, going with suede and leather. Looks pretty nice so far. Just time consuming since I'm doing it all by hand...

Also, the deer skin that I'm using feels awesome...

Before I cleaned up...

This is the stitch I ended up using on mine... I think it looks the cleanest...

I've been looking at some different stitches... I'm getting my machine set up for doing the Hex pattern right now, its going to take some patience...

I think the Parrallel stitch will looks the best, it compliments the rest of the upholstery in our cars nicely...

The leather I'm using is super super soft, doing too complicated of a stitch results in mangling usually...

I'll be finishing up the top portion of my wheel later this week, I've got a few major tests tomorrow and some projects to finalize.

Thanks guys!

I'm trying to get brushed up on my stitching, its been a few years since I've done this... towards the end of the line the stitches look much better, just takes patience...
