Default srt4 seats in a camaro! update w/pics!!

they are almost done! has bin alot of work, and they are not a direct fit, had to tear theme apart and cut the frame in half and mix it with the orginal camaro seat frame,

i moved all the electric motors in to the srt4 seats, so now the SRT4 seats are 6way electric, like the camaro seats where,

some unfinished pics, dont mind the electric mesh there, this is the nitrous system, will finish it better when i start testing the nitrous,

the color is spot on, just like the dashbord,

see the diffirent

engine is done!

Thanks all,
I've had this idea for a long time,
Last summer i drove a brand new viper and noticed thad it had the same seats, and the viper has very low roof like the camaro,

When i installed the passenger seat i was realy surprised how well they match the gray color of the interior, they are identical ,

Next step is to math the door panel and rear seats, i can promise that it will be something new

I always like the seats in the SRT4 (always thought the car was ok for what it was as well)...

Not hard at all,
Most work was to take the srt seats frame apart to use a part of them to hold the back up,

Those seats are diffirent from the camaro seat, the camaro's seat is 1peace upper/lower part,
But the srt seats back is bolted to the frame, so i had to take that part off the frame and bolt it to the camaro frame,

i owned an SRT4 for 3 years. the seats are "race inspired" but definately not THAT comfortable.

if you're 5'8" and weigh more than 220lbs you won't like the seats very well. but if you're nice and skinny they're barable. they just make you feel real good about driving. the leg supports ain't too bad and they will eventually seperate if you're a bigger person.

to be a thousand times honest with you, i like my Trans Am bucket seats. they are soooo much more comfortable due to the excellent lumbar/lower back support. it just curves with your body alot more than the SRT4 seats.

i've been driving an 05 STi now for almost 3 years and i can say that the STi seats are more comfortable than the SRT seats, but not as "enjoyable" as my f-body seats.

i know, it's weird.

I've never liked the fbodys seats,
Me and my beer belly fit fine in tie srt seats :-) i think they are one of the most comfortable seats i know i about,
But seats fit each and one diffirently i guess

i thought they were comfortable at first, but after driving all over the state of Texas to go to meets, BBQ and carshows i changed my mind. a quick 15-30 minute drive won't kill you, but drive the car for more than 45 minutes and you'll start to feel a bit bothered.

they hold you in nice and tight and look freakin awesome, but i would chose my trans am seats 100 times out of 100 before the SRT seats.
