Thanks for the video! I've been wanting one of those for a while now, but always wondered if it would read tranny temperature, I guess I can't go wrong now since mine its also a 1999 trans am! Oh, and by the way, same color also! Hehehehe!
i wanted to get one of these a few years ago. if i dont have to splice into any wires, im defintly getting this.
this can also read SES lights...correct?
You don't have to splice ANYTHING. I literally walked outside, holding the gauge in hand, and plugged it in. It turned on, and I set it up. I later ran the wires.. took 5 minutes.
It reads AND clears SES lights. if you watch the video, it says "Scan DTCs" and "Clear DTCs"

LOL. If you watch the vid, towards the end when she's walking over, you'll hear a "KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK" that's me banging on the windshield telling her to go away
There's a logo section in the setup list, I haven't checked it out yet. Will do

It does have a reading for MAP, so if you are running an SD tune with a 2 or 3 bar MAP sensor and your computer has been recalibrated with something like HPtuners, I don't see why it wouldnt show positive psi.

I have this scanner as well. I only paid $45 for it from a used to be friend (I hate that mother f*cker now lol). Its a pretty cool little toy with a huge variety of settings. It replaced just about every gauge you could think of. The warning/shift lights on it are pretty handy as well. A lot of people run multiple scanners in their cars so they can view 4 or 6 or however many things at the same time.
I don't pay much attention to it any more, but at first the 1/4 mile/0-60 things were fun to practice with on the back roads.
