LS1 - Pics aren't working in either Firefox or IE for me. I'd love to see how you mounted them up!

Your mixing the people up.
LS1_SS said he had the TSX's.
MosesMcgregor is showing this pic of the 50MM HID Xenon Hella projector and they come with that silver shroud.

I do unique mods for the hell of it, so don't question my reasons.

The 99 TA is now riding on airbags front and rear for only $335. More parts to be added later. Install Thread

How do Hella compare to say OEM Bosch, TSX, etc?

Bosch make several different ones, Hella also. Some vary in the shape of the cutoff pattern, but mostly they are pretty similar. They are also different shapes and sizes and the bi-xenons have different types of movable parts. Your best bet is to first look and find what fits, then look at price and availability.

One unique feature is that some projectors have a nice color band at the cutoff point. What this does is create that blue purple flicker you see when the car is coming at you at night. It can have the 4300 white bulb, yet still flicker, twinkle blue. It's very cool. The Bosch E46 and the Honda S2000 projectors are like that. Sometimes you can bend the cutoff shield slightly to increase or decrease that effect.

Here is what a E46 looks like. Notice the color at the cutoff. Check pic at bottom, too.

You can read some of these threads:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/216460/

But I would suggest signing up at:
http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/

You can find lots of info on each type of projector as well as the cuttoff pattern and anything else you need as well.
