Dash Recovered in Black Vinyl (pics)
A few people have been asking me to post pics, since they're considering the same, and not wanting to hijack someone else's thread, I figured id just put up a couple pics and maybe it'll give you guys some ideas for future mods. Im pretty happy with how it turned out, so just will be nice to finally get it all back together... Sorry for the shitty cellphone pics, the seams look really nice in person, but come up sorta mucky in the pictures. Ill have to get the real camera out and take some pics when I get it back together.

What type of adhesive did you use? And what brand of vinyl did you use?
The kind I used didn't want to stretch very well and I can't keep mine stuck. What method did you use to measure you peices before you sewed them?

doh, forgot to mention I had a shop do this for me, as I didnt feel capable to do it myself. Im redoing the rest of the interior in the same vinyl on my own, and it hasnt been overly difficult, but figured the dash wasnt the best place to start learning, haha.

As for the vinyl, are you using a heatgun? I was using a hairdryer for a while, and getting very frustrated, and after switching to a heatgun it made a WORLD of difference. Just be careful not to overheat it, or do what I did, and set the gun down ON the vinyl when you aren't paying attention... needless to stay I had to redo that piece. The vinyl I'm using is marine grade, so its very thick, and can be a bit of a pain to coax into tight areas, but it seems like itll hold up well to being in a DD.
