Well, there is a rubber surround around the stock ebrake handle. The surround is mounted in the center console. The boot goes into the console but OVER that surround, which remains completely hidden. I personally am very proud of our design and believe the properly installed ebrake boot looks 100% as it was meant to be there by the factory. Some pics:

As far as this WS6 short shifter goes, the drop is 2". You need to order the same height adjustment for the shift boot, as the drop of the shifter itself. So 2" it is.
