What does it all mean!? :jest:

After searching I found people saying the 3i is smoother than the the regular stage 3. Others say it is worse. Now the f has replaced the i. Is there any consistancy with all of these? Is the 3i or f smoother than the regular stage 3? Is it still an x-pad if you get the 3f?

The 3I and F are stronger than the 3. The 3F is not an x pad.

Does stronger mean that it is going to be less driveable? i.e. more chatter, less streetable, etc?

3I's chatter during break-in. My car is a daily driver and after break-in, drove like stock. My whole crew uses 3I's except for the really high (600+) HP guys and we have great experience with them. I know griffz28350 put in a 3F a month or 2 ago and he might be able to comment on it. I'm not sure how many miles he's put on though given the weather here.

no need to worry about the 3i since it has been replaced with the 3F. You either get the standard stage 3 x-pad or the full faced disc 3F. I noticed no difference in driveabilty between the stage 3 and 3F.

has been replaced with the 3F.

Thanks. We know this. I was just answering his drive ability question. :)

I talked to a SPEC rep at the PRI show and he showed me a 3F disk. He said the main reason for the change to a full face disk (from the 3I) was to reduce chatter and increase driveability.

I just installed the 4F and it does drive better than the 3X.

which one holds more power?

3F and 4F hold the same power I think. The difference id that the 3F is a sprung hub and the 3F is solid. The Solid hub is better for drag racing. That's why I went that way.

I like the 3F over the 3I.Alot less chatter, more drivable.

hmm.. new stuff all the time

i finally retired my s4 ceramic for a s4 iron. both never have slipped on me yet. i have no idea what an F is but a full disk is surprising

How does the S4 iron feels compared to the ceramic?

pretty similar so far.. from what i am told it is a softer hit at the dragstrip.. better for powershifting and big rpm dumps.. will see.
