| Re: Pro 5.0 shifter yes, it's very easy to do.
do NOT cut the boot out though. unbolt if from the floorboard, put on the shifter, set your stops, then put the boot back on and bolt to floor. It will fit over it, just tug it down.
let me know if you need further, I've done a couple-three of them

| Re: Pro 5.0 shifter I love mine, it was the first mod I did to the car and it's a night and day differance from stock. Install wasnt a problem and took me around an hour. Use some white lithium grease on the ball, some sealant around the base, and some loc-tite on all the bolts especially the ones that connect the handle to the base or they will come loose, happened to me twise. You can take a inch off the top of the stick, I just did this last weekend and it feels alot better. The bolts that your talking about I took out because the M6 has internal bump stops, thats why the B&M Ripper doesnt have them, but they prolly would make your shifts even shorter. Hope this helps alitte, Install Unversity got a awesome write up and thats what I used.

| Re: Pro 5.0 shifter I know how to adjust the bolts I was reading up in Pontiac Enth. They just said to sit there and row through the gears and make sure that the shifter is in gear fully...then adjust the bolts if its not fully in..
Im sure you would know if they arent in gear fully right? Or will that internal bump stop mod fix it all?

| Re: Pro 5.0 shifter I love the shifter. Was very easy to install and adjust the stops. Make sure you put some loctite on the bolts that attach the handle to the shifter base. They will always find a way to work their way loose. |

| Re: Pro 5.0 shifter Here's how to adjust the North/South 'stop' bolts.
Put the car in first. Put light pressure against the shifter with one hand. Tighten the 'North' stop bolt against the shifter. Then back it off 1/2 turn and anchor it with the set nut. Shift the car to second and perform the same ritual with the 'South' stop bolt. You're done! |

| Re: Pro 5.0 shifter I am not a tranny expert, but the last time I had a t-56 apart it didn't look like the shift stop set screws would do anything if they were allowing full engagement (which you want!).

| Re: Pro 5.0 shifter A friend and I have done 2 Pro 5.0's it's an easy install. Best tip I have is pull the park brake handle as high as you can. This makes getting the console out much easier. Might want to disconnent the battery too as their is an air bag sensor near the shifter. We didn't but we probably should have.
