Default 02 Clutch - pedal feel

I heard the 02 clutch (LS6?) had a much lighter feel that the years prior. Can anyone attest to this??

My 02 feels the same as the 98 I had prior. If there is a difference, I can't tell.

Mine feels very simlar to the stock one I killed. Engagement point is different, but that's probably due to the new slave and the fact that the last clutch was worn way down.

Hi there,
Well, its kind of hard to explain, as the pressure plate clamping force has increased. But the bore of the master cylinder has also increased, which would decrease pedal effort.
So, it kind of right, if you know what I mean.
I dont really feel a difference, unless you are talking 98-02 c5.

I have a 98 with '02 ZO6 hydraulics (master, slave, etc) which is what all '02's have and it is considerably lighter than my stock.

I think it's the new master that changes pedal feel mostly. Or you could get an adjustable one.

MY 02 Z28 CLUTCH FELT SOFTER THAN THE 02 Z06 CLUTCH I INSTALLED AFTER THE FIRST ONE WENT SOUTH AT 5000 MILES AND TEN RUNS. THE 02 ZO6 CLUTCH NOW FEELS LIKE CRAP AFTER 2 RUNS AND BFG DR. THE 02 Z06 CLUTCH HAS ABOUT 3000 MILES ON IT AND SHOULD BE OUT AND IN THE TRASH CAN ON CHRISTMAS WEEKEND. EARL AT SPEC INFORMED ME THE PEDAL FEEL ON THE STAGE 3 WILL BE FIRM AND SMOOTH. I'LL LET YA'ALL KNOW SOON!

I drove my '99 T/A to the dealership and test drove an '02 ram air. The pedal feel was COMPLETELY different. The '02 was much much softer.
