We cut mine an inch....very comfortable and in line w/ your arm on the console <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

No problem and if you have the Hurst shifter knob, it fits perfect <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

I left 5 rounds of threads. cut the rest off. I'd guess about 1.75" or so.

SLP's leather shifter knob works well to if you don't want a Hurst logo on your Pro 5.0
