Last time I went to the track I decided not to do this. I guess I'm too worried about scratching the top with my helmet by accident.
Nice list!

Re: C5 Weight Reduction List
I believe the bumpers are supported by the frame.
The 'skid' bars up front cant be removed either because they support the radiator.

Re: C5 Weight Reduction List
I could never see myself doing this to a vette. I mean we all buy new cars becaue they are fast and still have AC and all the comforts, right. We defile a brand new Vette just to go a couple of thenths or so quicker? Oh well, just me, carry on in your quest for loosing weight, hehe!

Re: C5 Weight Reduction List
Definite differences between the performance philosophy of a "chassis" guy and an "engine" guy.
Chassis guy says....PUT IT ON A DIET!!!
Engine guy says....HMMMM, I gained some weight over the holidays...GUESS I NEED MORE TORQUE!!!
I am going sub-sonic with the CD player and the AC on....SEE YA!
