Default Cost per pound?

There was only one speed shop that always has nitrous in stock locally. So I had no choice. The shop charged $6.5o per pound. I know I got hosed, but I didnt see the point in spending $30.oo in gas to save $15.oo in N2O.

What is the cost where you live?

Dude,
they bent you over and

Two shops here in town both charge $3.50 a pound and it's $4.00 a pound at San Antonio Raceway.

You figure the track has a "captive audience" so they charge more. But when a shop charges more than a racetrack, thats just

Hope you have luck finding another source.

Definitely keep looking around. There are a lot more places then speed shops that sell nitrous around my part. the best thing you could do, is get a fill station at your house and get nitrous for cost. probably talk to the supplier of the speed shop local to you and buy direct from them as well. good luck

you've found that out too? the import shops are always cheaper than what most of us would refer to as a domestic/old school performance shop. maybe it is because they go through more of it, so larger quantities get bigger discount?

Just filled my 15# bottle yesterday and was charged $3.79 a pound, with tax total was $61.85. But, what can you do except set-up your own re-fill station, if your serious and plan on running mucho n2o.

No I know I got rolled, and it was at an import shop. But, the next shop was 45 milles away, they sold it for less then $4.oo. What a gallon of gas go for now? over $2.oo. I didnt see the point in payiny $30.oo in gas to save $15.oo in nitrous.

There was a guy selling it for $3 a # for a little while, then his shop closed so I went to the only other place in town which was charging $3.50 and in the past 3 mos. they have gone up to $4.50 I would rather drive the extra mileage than to pay that much for it. They said the people they are buying it from jacked up the price they passed the cost off to the custmers. It is a prinsciple thing now.

$4.50 in Hawaii, thank God I am military or the gas would kill me...Economy pays ave of $2.50 on post $2.01 or something like that. Most shops all charge the same, just depends on where you go here, a parts speed shop never fills all the way but charges for it, and BSM always fills by weight and only charges by it...

WOWW! You guys are getting reemed with some 6 bucks a #!!!!!! I thaught $3 was kind of high! I have a freind that I get a refill from for $25 bucks but I am gunna invest in the big nitrous bottles myself and that way I can fill my own for about $1.50 a # or so and even make a profit.

You don't even need a fill in station...... just stick your small bottle in the freezer for an hour or so and run a straight line to the mother bottle and open up the valve and it will fill itself up... always put the bottle you are filling up and shake it around and turn it upside down to make sure it gets full.
