Default 4L80E/TH400 Dimension info

After doing a lot of searching on here, I've decided to put a 4L80 in my car... The only thing is my car is a 95 mustang.

For those of you not familiar with rustang stuff.. a popular swap is the th400 for obvious reasons...JW offers an ultrabell to swap the th400 to the sbf, it requires you to cut the stk bellhousing where the front pump bolts on, and it utilizes the front pump bolts to fasten the ultrabell to the trans.

They currently don't offer a swap bell for the 4L80E, but since they offer one for the TH400 I was hoping to see if any of the gm trans pros here knew if the front pump bolt holes are the same or similar... and if the depth of the bellhousings are the same.

I'm hoping to get this thing working with my turbod dart 363 and have it fully controlled by my AEM standalone.

Any help/info is appreciated!!

They are different the 80 is more massive all around and has the extra bolt hole where the 400 does not and a few inches longer. Hope this helps.

i have a 400 and 4l80e sitting side by side, def the pumps are diff-besides the bolt pattern, the 400 has a flatter area around the bolts, the 4l80e has some extra bracing, not the nice flat area all around

A JW UltraBell can be adapted to the 4L80E but it's not a bolt on deal.

As stated the pump cover must be machined, as well as the Ultrabell.
