The 4L80e is a stronger trans. Can you make it fit? How will you control it?
Just a couple things to consider....
i was planing on using a camaro pcm. i know a 4l60 fits. how much bigger is a 4l80. i was aiming for 500 rwhp plus 200+ spray
The camaro pcm may or may not accept the 4L80 profiles.
The other option we have for you is the Maximum performance 4L65 based unit. How are you going to bring on the spray?
nobody can build a 4l60 to last any time been there done that! if anybody can and guarantee if and pay for labor n and out everytime it dont work ill pay top dollar! only way i found to make 1 last is throw it in the trash n get a glide! anybody interested in being a 4l60 sponsor for a nasty t/a real nasty dd but dont want details all over the internet as it is a big money grudge car any sponsors pm me if interested

Hi Andy, What level 4L60E for my Turbo LT1 would be suitable? I race on the occasional weekend but mostly daily drive the car. It's a full street weight car (3,650 w/driver) with 3.55's running 14psi so I assume it's 625 - 650 rwhp.

At 500+ rwhp I would not suggest anything under a Level 5.
Do you put slicks on it at the track?
Thanks!
Is this sale on for sept too? What level would u recommend for my setup?Just n/a now,but lookin to hit it with a 100-150 shot once a built trans goes in .I will mostly be runnin n/a,with the occasional hit ,every now an then.Still runnin my stock tranny now.

Yes, were going to continue the sale for September also. I would recommend our level 4 build for your application looking at your current setup.
Thanks,so what are we lookin at out the door, with a core return?
The sale price on the L4 is 1755.00 provided I get your core back.
I would estimate the shipping to Fl. at about 125.00. That gives you a total price of 1880.00.
Thanks,
Andy
Ill probably give you a call but im needing a th400 for 700-900hp, trans brake, 2nd gear band so I can downshift from 3rd to 2nd. RMVB, if you can put in the vss gear in the tailshaft as well. 01 SS going from a t56. Car will see track and lots of street. Price for all that please.
The VSS is not an issue for us to do. However with the Coan trans brake that we use the intermediate band will be removed. The directions for this brake clearly state not to down shift in the shut down of the vehicle until you come to a complete stop. Not sure if that is exactly what you are looking for for street use. I know most brakes remove the band. Might have to reconsider if you are looking have a brake. I will have to look around as well to see what is available for what you are looking to do. If someone has a solution please shoot me a pm. Vince B
