This is one site's reference to what I'm talking about... VSS Diagnostic Enable Minimum RPM:
Not sure exactly what this does, but I’ve been wondering if you set the rpm on this to it’s maximum value if the computer would not be able to activate the limp mode that causes the OBDI 1st-2nd shift problem. I’ve always been under the assumption that the no-shift is caused be a hard launch on sticky tires that would cause the VSS to lose it’s signal and set the trans into limp mode.
Try it and see if it works for you

yeah i'll agree to that. my car did that a couple years ago and it was for all intents and purposes bone stock. msd wires, cap and rotor, K&N filter, and ngk plugs. it needed rebuilt. i'm sure the tune had nothing to do with it since it was a stock car with a stock tune.

I would get the TC serviced. THey drain it, cut it apart, clean it, inspect it, weld it up(they may check the balance too. Not sure) The TC you can get with the Performabuilt is not that much from them. I'd just buy one of theirs rather than fussing with your stocker, waiting for it, etc.
