You'll need a 4340 or 300 M input shaft, billet forward hub, Super Drum would be nice but isn't mandatory if you are careful with burnouts.

6 clutch direct setup, rollerize the forward hub, rollerize the rear planet to case location. Rollerizing between the planets is also a nice addition.

Perfect pump build, 200 psi line pressure, new boost valve should always be installed.

4340/300M mainshaft would be nice but isn't mandatory at 1000 HP.

Direct clutches must be dual fed either internally or with the VB.

Tight endplay.

I aim for .005-.010 endplay on the rear section of a TH400 or 4L80E. You can get it pretty tight with the torrington bearings.

You have to keep in mind the reaction carrier floats between the rear planet and center support. The tighter your endplay the less it floats and the less potential "wobbling" it can do.

I use the same bearing in the rear of the case and between the planets but basically you need to use a torrington and lathe cut the pieces to get the needed clearance.

I get front endplay down to .010-.020". Some like to get it really tight but I haven't found it necessary.
