| I am able to do all that and would love to work in such an environment, but making the commute from Montana would be a bit harsh. I guess for the right pay I could just move again.

| Are you telling me there are no worthy little grunts hanging around your shop, the track, interest in working for you? No welding schools in your area? Surely you have a JVS in your town. Go interview the top five in the class. Most kids would give a nut to work at a race shop.

Here are some of the quotes from the interviews!!!!
1. BEFORE even giving me his sales pitch etc. "What are you paying"( Mind you this is from a 19 year old guy who shows up in mommies BMW)
2. "What do you do here" (Another 19 year old who was too lazy to do some research on the shop)
3. "I am an underwater welder but I cant weld on dry land" ( 20 year old)
4. I ask what fabrication skills do you have. Response= " I fabricated all my suspension on my car." ( As he leaves the parking lot the torque arm falls off due to a faulty weld)
5. The best one so far!!!!
Guy= "What are you offering as a starting pay?"
Me= "Pay is based on experience, how much do you have?"
Guy= "None but I am a college student and my professor of business says you should pay me between 18.00 and 20.00 per hour as a training position."
Me= After getting up off the floor from the laughter I respond, "You are paying for college so in this instance I charge $26.00 per hour to teach you, so if I pay you $20.00 per hour then you still owe me $6.00 per hour."
So Jakes dad you can see I am still looking.

| Sorry for thinking. I understand your issues.
We can't find a lot tech that can pass a drug test and is still permitted to drive. If we find one of them the next questions is how many weeks off do I get?
I take full responsibility for your problems. It's my generation that had these kids. We spoiled them, gave them money to get the hell out of the house. Gave them money if they showed up for school.
Dogs are much easier to handle than kids. Even one that goes after a 2,000# plus bull, starts fights with the other two dogs. It's in it's last TIME OUT. About ready to put it's ass down. One day the bull will take this dog and flip it's 150# body up into the air. That will a day I have an extra Jakes Dad - A dog smarter than it's owner! |

| MadMan,
After looking over your sight I could not find anywhere to put in an application, but I believe I am qualified to work for you. As a former Marine you can rest assured my work ethic is top notch. I was a QA inspector in charge of not only repairing, but ensuring the quality of repair on Avionics components and Harnesses. While working in a Machine shop I helped in the development of and building of Automated industrial equipment prior to my service with the Marine Corps. I have had experience running both a manual lathe as well as a manual 3 axis machine. In addition I am a car person, it is all i want to do.
If I missed some info on where to send my information please let me know, but as I said before I found no information on your site or in your post as to where to send a resume
Thank You
Steve |
