| Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade... No More GM has decided to discontinue the GMT900 SUV's. I for one am dissapointed. I think completely stopping them after this model run is to extreme. just scale back production, adapt, overcome, but don't give in. I understand things are bad, but they will get better. they always do.

| They will be using the newer front-drive SUV platform, like the GMC Acadia etc... from now on. I saw a concept Escalade photo made with that platform, it wasn't horrible looking.

| Not removing the trucks from the market, just revamping the platform for something lighter and more efficient. Last i heard they were in a mad dash to get it done

| That's unfortunate. There are people who actually use those trucks the way they were made for. How difficult is it really to add an SUV to the design board when they're designing the trucks? They're BOF vehicles that all share the same underpinnings.
EDIT: Upon further investigation, it simply appears to just be the Suburban, Yukon XL and Escalade ESV. The Tahoe-sized ones will remain. Another thing to keep in mind is that their target for "expiration" is 2014. A LOT can happen between now and then.

| About time they started thinking about the future. Maybe one day they'll start selling trucks and SUV's again if they can ever make them efficient enough.

| I still find it weird that Tahoe sells can be that bad, I see them (new ones) ALL the time still. Gas prices dropping so I bet SUV sales go back up.....I don't know I can't see GM killing off them all together....maybe fewer models and less cross overs...

| Wow, those are some of the best looking/best performing full size trucks ever. And I love that L92 motor in the Escalade/Yukon Denali.
The Acadia/Enclave line is pretty sweet too though. |

| "Gas prices dropping so I bet SUV sales go back up."
That is a real problem. If the prices go down we will get sucked into complacency again. We send 700-800 billion dollars a year overseas for oil. We should keep that money at home making jobs for Americans.
And this is a 2014 target date...it will change by then.
