Default $1,831,776 Aston Martin One-77

$1,831,776 Aston Martin One-77

It's hard to think of a DB-9 or Vanquish as anything other than automotive perfection, so when the Brits in Gaydon say the One-77 is the embodiment of Aston Martin design, color us interested. The ultra-exclusive two-seat supercar seems to have it all: a 700 hp V12, carbon fiber chassis, aluminum body, and the ultimate in Aston design. The One-77 has an exclusive price tag of about £1,050,000 or $1,831,776 before taxes, too, and even the Paris Motor Show isn't a big enough venue to unveil the full design to the world.

Aston Martin is sure playing up the anticipation for the One-77, and even though there is absolutely no shot we'll ever get to drive one, we're taking the bait. Teasers and sneak peaks are all we're getting at this point, and with a full year before it goes on sale, we could be waiting a bit longer. Aston CEO Bez Ulrich and chief designer Mark Reichman sat down to discuss the One-77 with the cameras rolling, and the two key players on team Martin seem to be in love with this vehicle.

So do the headlights operate circa-de transformers or is this a day only car?

Nice, but for that money it looks to much like all the other Astons that look alike.

after looking again, you'd think that fat ass front grille wouldn't find itself on a "super-car," that can't be good for aerodynamics at super-car speeds

I'm just guessing, but its probably a design study like the DB-9 was when it hit the show circuit. Aston doesn't build any compromise cars, at least so far. It looks like it will be bad ass, as if there is an Aston that isn't bad ass .

Only 700 hp for a car brand that notoriously makes their cars heavy? I don't know but that's Veyron territory so I hope they better have some kind of helium filled chassis to be able to compete with those kinda numbers.

oh i think it's overpriced for sure but it's an ASTON MARTIN. They are by far some of the sexiest cars created.

Honestly, from the two shots I've seen above it looks just as ugly as the Aborted fetus GT-R.

U.G.L.Y. oh yeah,,, and you have to pay roughly $2million for such ugliness.

$2 million dollar car. a fool and his money are soon parted... with a car and a pen.

Umm.... not ugly??? Have any of you two looked hard at the pictures above?

The shots I've seen above could easily be mistaken for a Nissan GT-R.

Not even it's own mother could think a GT-R is "pretty"

I guess it's just me, I like the last generation of Astons, but don't like the GT-R nose I've seen so far.....

Honestly, I think the new Ferrari 430 and 360's don't look as good as the older 355's.... but hey, what do I know about anything?
