Default How many had an F-Body before their V?

Well i currently have a 99 Trans Am, its a fun car but not so practical. I just get annoyed with it after i drive it for more than two weeks. The fact the V is just as quick and way more practical with 4 doors and nav etc i was thinking it would be a good step forward. So who had an F-Bod before their V? and what are your thoughts about it? Thanks guys

Well im 19, and I had a Ws6 before my Cts-v....well i still have it but its for sale. No comparison. The only complaint I have about my V is the IRS under hard acceleration. Besides that, oh my lord I cant believe i drove my f-body so long. Ive had roughly 14 f-bodies, a Z06, and now my CTS-V, and while I did love the Z06, my V handles just as good, brakes even better, and is wayyyy more luxurios, comftorable, etc. I honestly would never go back to an F-body unless it was a strictly drag car.

a few V guys had fbodys, and some still have theirs.
Im in the process of picking up a LS1... driving the two cars is VERY different though; I love the feel of driving the cadi, probably because i'm so used to it, but when driving a TA i felt like i was navigating a tank.
But, both cars are amazing and bring different things to the table.
You'll like the cadi.

I agree. I went from a 2003 bolt on z06. Never looked back.

cool, whats it with gm and bad rear ends? lol the f bodies are notorious and so are the V's now that im reading lol woulldn't it be cheaper on their part to do it right the first time instead of having to replace them under warranty? haha who knows, i was just nervous about the rear end in the cadi, because i like to drag race during the spring and summer, so i was wondering if it would hold up?

i have made probably over 200 passes on my trans am in the last year and a half, but its an auto

the v isnt a drag car...take up road racing...
thats where the real beauty lies.
gm is alittle fruity with thier board meetings...
they need a 20 yr old in there to bring things
to thier attension.

the new cts-v has a rear thats on point as of now...
maybe gmpp division will bleed some parts/upgrades our
way. i doubt it...but one can dream.

not everyone blows thier rear end....
it just sucks If/when you do.
so most of the v world applies
the preventive maintenance technique.

they don't drag race in fear of the, "what if's"?
