Default New Axles and stubs coming from Gforce Engineering

Some of you have probably been keeping up with my new line of CTS-V axles, stubs and half shafts, thought I would share the info with the LS1tech crowd as well.

I've come up with my final design and I think your going to love it!

What I've come up with is a 100% upgradable solution.

Here is what I will be releasing soon.

- 300m large diameter passenger side axle

- 300m regular diameter drivers side axle

- 300m billet inner axle stubs

- 4340 billet outer axle stubs

Here is what will catch your attention. All of these components are 100% compatible with your OEM inner and outer stubs.

What does this mean and why is this cool you say?

1) It means if you're not making big power and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, you can buy just the large diameter axle for the passenger side and put it in (or have us put it in the half shaft assembly) and it will drastically reduce wheel hop without breaking the bank.

2) This also means if you want to buy just inner stubs, our inner cv joints and the large diameter axle and keep your outer stub, you can. The outer stub is pretty strong from the factory, it really is only necessary to upgrade when making high horsepower numbers.

Or you can get the entire stub to stub set up and be done with it. The best solution if you ask me would be inner stubs, cv joint and axle to go along with the OEM outer stub.

If you buy just the large diameter axle for the passenger side now and later you decide you want to add more power, you just buy more parts and build it up as you want.

I have decided that the best thing, from an engineering and consumers stand point, isn't to just offer one setup or several totally different combinations that wont work with each other. There are a lot of guys out there that just aren't making enough power to break things, mainly it's the wheel hop that is the problem. That's what makes my solution so great, it's a completely modular design. You replace what you need when you need it (what fits your car's needs) and you save money while doing it!

Remember, these parts are made from 300m billet steel, the strongest material available to make drive-train parts from. We only use certified material and we also use a special documented and certified heat treat process, this ensures you get the best parts on the market.

The axles will be $299 each, doesn't matter if it is large or standard size.
Inner stubs are $374.50 each
If you want the inner stub, cv joint and axle assembly (no outer stub) then it is $699.
Add the outer stub for $299.50
Or you can buy the entire stub to stub each side for $999. per side

I’ll probably do a sale on a few sets to kick everything off once testing is done and the parts are officially for sale.

Thanks
Chris

Any fixes for the rear to go along with the axles?

I'll investigate that as well but axles are first and then I'll work on driveshafts.
I agree, the diff needs some beefing up too.

Good stuff. Have you had a chance to compare the '04/05 with the '06/07? Are the inner and outer stubs the same for both styles? For those of us with '04/05 cars, would you recommend upgrading the driver side at least with one of the '06/07 axles to go along with your beefed up passenger side axle?

The 06-07 use the same inner and outer stubs but a little bit different axles. It's a popular swap to put newer axles in so I would say that would be a good swap (06-07 on the drivers side)

Not really. I will have test axles in cars in a 2-3 weeks and then once I get some good feedback I'll crank out a few sets of everything.

Thanks
Chris

I'm going to have one of our new dealers Race Proven Motorsports do some testing as well.
They are working on a couple CTS-V's and need to kill the wheel hop. It should result in some real good testing.

The first fitting of the new 300m big axle into the OEM inner and outer stubs went perfect. Couldnt ask for a better fit.

Now it's off to heat treat and then they get our nice black e-coat corrosion process.

Thanks
Chris

I'll have to see if Race proven has a car lined up for testing.
I'd love to have you test a set out for me.
I'm going to have a few choices for installation, you can send me a half shaft and I'll swap it out, you can do it your self or you can take somewhere like Race Proven Motorsports and let them do it.

I'll have 2 alxes ready for testing in about 5-8 business days.

Thanks

For those that have asked why we are making the passenger side axle and not the drivers side axle, I'll just have to say for now that there is a very good reason why, I'll elaborate after we get some good testing done.
And remember, our axles will also interchange with either the OEM stubs or our 300m billet stubs.

I'll get these up on our web site in a few days for pre-ordering.

Thanks
Chris

cant wait to see review on this... H.E. axles with kars kit (looking at about $1k in hop proof parts) seemed to "reduce" hop... i'd deal with it for $1k...

cant wait Chris!! keep us updated!

I have 2 axles ready for testing.

One is getting installed on Whistlers car in Fort Worth, TX
The other one will probably be installed by Race Proven Motorsports, if they don’t have a car to put it on then there are a couple other guys lined up for it.

I have 10 more axles in work right now, they will be ready in 2-3 weeks.

I'll get some photo's of the kit posted up this weekend.

The kit will consist of:
1 300m large diameter axle (passenger side)
2 new cv boots
4 new cv boot clamps
new cv grease

Price is $299.

This is a pretty easy swap and I would encourage guys to do this swap on your own or take it to your local mechanic.
We also have dealers spread out across the country that can do the install.
Or we can do a swap out with your half shaft.

Thanks
Chris
