Default found my cam now upgrading the valvetrain

ok I decided to run COMP Cams Xtreme RPM Camshaft Duration 273/277, Lift .530/.534 112 lsa. its the same cam maxspeed96ct is running. seems to be about perfect fit for what I want. anyway I was looking around to upgrade the valvetrain like most people do. I found this ( http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-54200/ ) COMP Cams 54200 - COMP Cams Gen III LSI/LS6 RPM Valvetrain Upgrade Kits with Valve Springs, Retainers, Single Springs, Titanium Retainers, Chromemoly Pushrods its 630.00 bucks. Is that a good deal or should I just buy it all separate. thanks for the help and wisdom.

Seprate is cheaper, but texasspeed has some good package prices.

I paid $350 for my cam on ebay (from summit as the seller)

then $255 for dual springs and titanium retianers from patriot performance and $100 for thier pushrods.

My total was $705 for everything...

and for a cam i wish I went alittle bigger now, something like this (its a 224 intake 230ex with a slightly higher lift then i have

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-54-444-11/

anything under 230 will still have good maners and gas millage.

thanks ill keep that in mind. I searched both forums and went through a ton of threads and yours seem around perfect and sounded good. I'll look into the one above as street manners and mpg's is a must since this is my DD and I do take it on trips.

Im going to start buying my stuff in a week or two and waiting for one big install around the first of the year. I am going to be doing the cam, kooks 1 7/8, monster 2.5 clutch and new motor mounts. if funds are still left over im looking into sending my intake to tpis to do the 90mm modified intake. hopefully have it all together and tuned before this spring
