| A 454 Big Block Motor bored .030 makes 468 or 462 cubes? Just bought a Prostreet 1971 RS split bumer Camaro with a good old school 454 Big Block Chevy Motor bored .030 over. Does that make the cubic inch displacemet (stock 454 crank) go to 468 cubes or 462 cubes?
Thanks in advance!

| my buddy has a 468 and he told me it was bored .060" to achieve the 468 CID! SO assuming a 454 bored .030" it should be around 462 cubic inches. Maybe someone who builds them will chime in.
But to my knowledge I feel I am correct.

Yes, I have researched this now and this is 100% accurate.
Turns out the top end on my 461 motor in my new camaro was shot so I spent $3,000 more and was able to get this monster pump gas Pat Musi Racing 555 cid, N/A 740 HP and 700 TQ, pump gas motor, that has more than enough power to propel my bad boy into the 9s (on motor). I was able to take full advantage of this buyers market and bought this for .50 cents on the dollar and got a written warranty from the seller also.
Here are pics of my new bad boy 740 HP, Pat Musi Racing built 555 Cid, pump gas motor:
