Default Fourth gen engine removal and installation

Allright, this is for all the do it your selfers either fortunate enough to have a lift in their RV port or garage, or ballin on a budget like me, doin it the hard way. Do you pull / install the motor on the ground, or lift it.

my buddy and i did mine and his out of his garage with no lift. pulled the engine from the bottem. had a wooden dolley to move the k member, engine and tranny around once the car was lifted off. just used an engine hoist and had a strap hooked to the radiator support to lift the car from the k member.

I've done it from the top on my car twice, and a few friends cars too. Its really not all that hard, just very time consuming. Decided to do it from the bottom next time.

Drop it out of the bottom F T W! I haven't done it, but it sounds easier to drop the engine out of the bottom.

I have done it both ways. There both easy but out the bottom is definitly easier you just have to get an alignment when your done.
