Default gas capacity question

I have a 02 Camaro Z28 and I was wondering how low the gas needle goes before the tank is really empty? When I fill up the car completely it goes a good amount above the full tank mark so I'm wondering if the same is true for an empty tank? Like when the car is off the needle rests well below the empty mark. And my gas light or the "check gages" doesn't come on until right before the empty mark.

Money is tight and gas is expensive I need to know how far I can go before I run out of gas lol.

Not a good idea to do that intentionally. $3 for a gallon of gas should not break the bank.

When my "check gauges" light comes on, I'd say I have roughly 4 gallons of fuel based on how many miles I average per gallon. I've driven 50-60 miles after the check gauge light comes on and I have always had at least 1 gallon of fuel left. I just try to see how many miles I go after the check gauge light comes on, and then see how many gallons it takes to fill up.

The f-body gas tank is shaped someone like a "V" and the gauge will drop exponentially faster the lower you get. But once you get right on the empty line, you may have 3-4 gallons left.

$3 a gallon does break the bank for someone who got laid off...

But thank you I figured there was a bit more below the empty line I just didn't want to test it out and be wrong. I also wondered why the gas seems to drop faster the lower it gets...makes sense now
