Well I took a down deposit on z28 and drove my ss and got a new radiator cap.

Washed and polished (Zaino, of course) her. I have an ever accumulating list of parts to install. To date:
Install Canfield Heads - They're completely ready to install. I got them serviced (valve job, valve seals, new beehive springs, 7/16" ARP Studs) and the FelPro 1010 gaskets are here.
Install new cam/oil pump brass gear.
LS1 Brake spindles, rotors and pads. I got them locally and took them to a sandblast guy that blasted them clean with walnut shells. The were god awful when I dropped them off. Now they look like stainless steel
I added my own special adam juice... cause she is sexy..
No really I am waiting patiently for my ory and slp header install kit. then my headers will go in and i will take a crack at getting her a good street tune, done by me.
Getting my Turbo Z28 ready to go to the Track today (New Lebanon in Upstate NY)
Just checked the weather forecast. Looks good
Tires: Unfortunately, I only have stock sized Nitto DR's.
Gear: 3.55's
Tranny: Viper internal'd T-56
Driveshaft: stock aluminum
Clutch: SPEC stage 4
Flywheel: SPEC Billet steel(heavier than a stocker so more inertia)
About the only thing I can do to help traction(I've done this back when the car was a TH350) is disconnect the front sway bar. I also should swap out the stock LCA's and put the BMR LCA'S back in. The roads here suck and are absolutely teeth rattling when you drive with the poly bushed LCA.
Other than changing plugs, I'll probably stop there as far as prep.
I'll let you know. My wife says she'll video the runs.
